In 2004, Dr. Charles Brenner discovered nicotinamide riboside (NR) could maintain levels of a key cellular resource. This resource supports energy metabolism and plays an important role in the maintenance of good health. Although NR is a naturally occuring vitamin in milk, it’s only found in trace amounts. Based on Dr. Brenner’s patents and the established techniques of our parent company, ChromaDex, NR is exclusively licensed and developed as Niagen.
